Ocimum Basilicum
This aromatic and medicinal plant has been cultivated for a very long time (12th century) in France in gardens; in the South for the extraction of its essence. It is a labiate with annual flowering branched into small bushes that evokes characteristic aromas. Its fresh or dried leaves are used as an aromatic condiment. After distillation, its dried leaves produce an essence with powerful, fresh and finely minty aromas.
